Where to Start

To know Brian and Dawn today, you must first know where they came from. Lets start from the beginning...

Brian grew up on a small farm in Joplin, MO. He graduated high school in 1994 then headed off to college at Rodgers University in Clairmore, Oklahoma earning two associate degrees. Brian then headed to Texas A&M to obtain a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science where he graduated in 2000. While Brian was attending college is wasnt till then he decided his passion was horses. The pleasure horses where such an anatomy because it's all about balance and control and the process was so scientific and that appealed to him. Following his studies Brian then went to work for Jay Jordon, Jess Herd, and Gil Galyean where he obtained numerous futurity wins, congress placing but most of all the foundation of training futurity winners.

Dawn grew up in Sunbury, Ohio. She has ridden and shown horses all her life. In fact, she rode her first horse when she was still in diapers. Growing up Dawn showed such horses as Only Worthy, Im Tuff By Choice and Sonnys Sweet Jazz. With them she attained several AQHA High Points and Congress Championships. She even found time to win a few Youth World titles and the prestigious AQHA All-Around Youth Award. She graduated from high school in 2003. While showing as an amateur, Dawn showed Hey Monn to several futurity wins and was named World Champion in 2005. After her success as a non pro, she decided to give up her card in 2006.

When Brian and Dawn first started dating, it was obvious that together they made a perfect partnership. But with his expertise in western pleasure and her undeniable talent in hunter under saddle, they were also a match made in training heaven. The Pipers added onto farm to allow Brian and Dawn room to start their own operation. Working side-by-side, the Pipers and Bakers have created a tremendous family partnership. Married May 2007 they have proven too many they are a force to be reckoned with. Aboard such horses as GoodCowboyMargarita, Endless Breeze, One Millun Moxie, No Doubt Im Lazy, Diesel Only, and thats just naming a few.

In September 2008 they welcomed Bradley Winters Baker to the faimly. Watch for Bradley to be cruising around on mini Winny for now. "The great thing is we get to do this as a faimly and that is important".
